Icon License

Simple Summary: You can use IconCottage icons in commercial and personal projects, modify them as needed, but you cannot resell them as standalone icon packs.
License Grant
When you purchase an icon pack from IconCottage, you are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use the icons according to the terms below.
✓ What You CAN Do
- Use in unlimited projects — Personal and commercial projects, no limits
- Modify and customize — Edit colors, sizes, shapes to fit your needs
- Use in client work — Include icons in websites, apps, or designs you create for clients
- Use in products you sell — Incorporate icons into software, themes, templates, or applications
- Use across multiple domains/applications — No per-site or per-app licensing
- Use forever — The license never expires
✗ What You CANNOT Do
- Resell as standalone icons — You cannot sell the icons as icon packs, design resources, or stock graphics
- Redistribute the source files — You cannot share, give away, or redistribute the original icon files
- Claim as your own — You cannot claim authorship or register the icons as trademarks
- Include in competing icon services — You cannot upload to stock photo sites, icon marketplaces, or similar platforms
- Create derivative icon packs — You cannot use these icons as a base for creating new icon packs to sell
Examples of Permitted Use
- Using icons in a website or mobile app (free or paid)
- Including icons in a WordPress theme or SaaS product you sell
- Using icons in client projects (you charge for the overall project, not the icons themselves)
- Using icons in presentations, marketing materials, or print designs
- Modifying icons to match your brand and using them in your logo/branding
Examples of Prohibited Use
- Selling the icon pack on another marketplace or website
- Creating a "starter kit" or template that includes these icons for others to download
- Uploading icons to stock photo or icon websites
- Sharing the icon files with colleagues or clients outside of finished project deliverables
- Using icons to create and sell new icon packs
Attribution
Attribution is appreciated but not required. You are welcome to credit IconCottage, but it's not mandatory.
Liability
The icons are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. IconCottage shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the icons.
